I just picked myself up an old PowerBook Ti off ebay (yes I like collecting random old stuff), and I was surprised how fast it was.
Specs:
- G4 800MHz
- 512mb PC133
- Radeon 7500 32mb
I installed Leopard on it via Firewire (off my iBook G4) and it works really well. The screen is great and it is more than fast enough to browse the internet on with multiple tabs.
I managed to install NetBSD on my toaster :)
Truely, I used to do the stuff you did when I was younger. I've got 2 Cobal Qube boxed. One running linux and the under running NetBSD. Duel homed box's so they are perfect firewalls etc.
I also install linux ppc (Yellowdog Linux) on a 202 Apple iMac G4 I have but thinking about selling on eBay.
I also have a Juniper NetScreen G-5 Wifi, ADSL, Firewall router with 5 ethernet ports. I'm not sure what I'm doing with that.
I have a Trend mico AV scanner. One of the lower models. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with that.
In other words, I have allot of hardware which I wish to get rid of before I relocate over seas.
