Here are some photos of one of my IBM Netvista N2200 8363 thin clients running a hacked version of linux



I should write up a quick how to as the info on the site isn't great. I was very surprised at how fast the system runs.

So... hang on... you're using TC computers as standalone? Do they make much noise? Have they got USB (i.e. could you plug in a USB hard drive and make it an MP3 player or even just to expand disk space and make them more usable as desktops?)

Yes they are running as Fat Clients (booting off the CF card). They are completely silent.

They have 2 USB ports (and you could plug in a USB hub). People have put 1GB CF cards in them. Although my plan is to run the MP3s via NFS or HTTP.
